Google Expanded Text Ads are Live

Expanded text ads are the next generation of text ads, designed for a mobile-first world with both users and advertisers in mind. They provide more space for your ad text compared to standard text ads, and are designed for optimal performance on mobile devices so you can reach potential customers when they’re on the go.

Google has published a new best practices guide on using Expanded Text Ads and device bidding, which is also getting a big update.

As of October 26, 2016, you’ll no longer be able to create or edit standard text Ads. Waiting until later to write and test new expanded text ads is not an option.
